A Modern Plan

This was written and recorded as part of the Black Eyed Sue song cycle from 2001. All of the songs on that album share the same subject matter and were written and recorded in a very creative and productive 3 month period. A Modern Plan had a very different feel from the rest however and didn't seem to fit, so I dropped it from the final sequence. The same year I was asked to contribute to the Pause Off compilation CD from a fledgling on-line site called The Gate, and thought this orphaned track would be appropriate.

The compilation had very limited exposure and The Gate folded soon after. This is really the first time the track has been available.
